Modern Winter Wedding

Stephanie and her bridal party arrived first at Grand Gimeno for hair and makeup. With champagne at the ready and Assorted Mini Palm Sandwiches, a Vegetable Tray, Fruit Tray, and Fresh Homemade Croissants, the beauty team got to work while the girls chatted and snacked. By the time the hair and makeup team were done, Lawrence and his groomsmen had arrived at the venue and were adding the finishing touches to their looks in the Parlor. When both parties were ready, Stephanie and Lawrence met in the entryway of the Powder Room for their first look. Happy tears rolled down their faces when they were finally able to see each other. The bride and groom read personal, handwritten vows to one another, then joined their wedding party for group photos before ceremony.

Guests arrived to a beautifully decorated ceremony space inside. Wishbone chairs faced our large windows and in the center of the wall, 2 floral column installs stood tall. At the back of the aisle, lanterns and more fall-colored florals completed the ceremony décor. As soon as everyone was accounted for, the wedding party made their entrances. In front of their closest family and friends, Stephanie and Lawrence recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a sweet kiss. Guests stood and cheered as the newlyweds exited into the Foyer for cocktail hour.

Guests got excited as they entered the Foyer and saw our Grand Charcuterie Display perfectly laid out for their enjoyment. The bar was serving up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, an Old Fashioned and Paloma, while servers were tray passing Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Crab Cakes. From the Courtyard to the Foyer, guests mixed and mingled until it was time for dinner.

Guests stopped by a large, sage green card display and opened the envelope with their name on it to find their table. Tables were spread out all around the Olive Grove and draped with our Cambria linens. Modern table settings with black accents were contrasted by centerpieces of dark red, rust and taupe flowers. Pillows were placed by the firepit, and a cozy lounge was set up by the outdoor fireplace. As soon as everyone was seated, Stephanie and Lawrence made their grand entrance into their first dance, then took a seat at the sweetheart table. The first course of Pear and Walnut Salad was served as friends and family stood for their speeches. Next, a dual entrée dinner plate filled with Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and Roasted Atlantic Salmon Fillet with Heirloom Carrots and Gourmet Mashed Potatoes swapped places with the salad. The delicious menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Lauren. Once toasts were done, the bride and groom cut their cake, and invited guests to enjoy the rest of the evening’s festivities. The guys headed to the cigar lounge while the girls made their way to the dance floor. As the evening came to a close, everyone gave the newlyweds their best wishes and hugs were shared before heading home.
