Funky Florals and Modern Details Wedding in Southern California at Grand Gimeno

Tiffany and Derrick met for their first look in the Grand Gimeno Courtyard as their friends and family watched from the windows of the Powder Room and Parlor. A tap on the shoulder turned Derrick around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a strapless white wedding dress. Happy tears were shed and sweet compliments were shared between the two, then their wedding party joined in for photos. The bridesmaids were dressed in dark brown silky dresses, and the groomsmen were suited up in heathered brown. Together they smiled for the camera to create lasting memories for years to come, then lined up for the ceremony.
Guests entered the Olive Grove and found a seat on either side of the aisle facing an overgrown ground floral piece filled with tall grasses, lilies, and other flowers. Once everyone was in attendance, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances down the aisle. In front of all their closest friends and loving family, Tiffany and Derrick read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Guests lined up for Wood-Fired Neapolitan and Meat Lovers Pizzas coming fresh out of the pizza oven for cocktail hour. Crab Cakes and Thai Lemongrass Meatballs were tray passed around tables and the bar served up Margarita and Whiskey Sour signature drinks. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head inside for the reception.
A black and white checkered dance floor sat in the middle of the room bordered by reception tables topped with unique fruits, taupe candlesticks, plum and yellow floral centerpieces and some ikebana arrangements. The newlyweds made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their floral-filled sweetheart table. Toasts were shared and the first course of Pear and Walnut Salad was served. The main course of Vietnamese Braised Short Ribs and Honey & Ginger Glazed Salmon with Gourmet Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus followed. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Patti. After dinner, the newlyweds popped champagne and cut into their two-tiered white and marble wedding cake, inviting guests to indulge in a slice as well. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor posing for selfies, showing off their best moves, and sharing their well wishes with Tiffany and Derrick.
