A Wedding Under the Olive Trees

A Wedding Under the Olive Trees

Carrie, Daniel, and their wedding party got ready for the big day at Grand Gimeno inside the Parlor and Powder Room where drinks were shared, and memories were made. After suiting up, slipping into dresses, and accessorizing, the girls posed for photos in the Olive Grove and the guys made their way to the Courtyard, to ensure the bride and groom didn’t cross paths. Carrie wore a tulle wedding gown standing out from her bridesmaids wore rust. Each of them held a bouquet filled with white, pink, and toffee colored flowers that matched the ceremony décor inside. Meanwhile, Daniel in a rust suit and his groomsmen dressed in beige smiled for the camera in front of the venue. Many photos later, the bride, groom, and their wedding party lined up for ceremony.

The ceremony was set with arrangements of fall-inspired florals marking the back and head of the aisle. Guests arrived, signed Carrie and Daniel’s guest book, then took a seat inside, mingling amongst each other on the way. Once everyone was accounted for, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances ending with Carrie. Smiles were exchanged from across the room when the bride and groom saw each other for the very first time that day. Once together at the head of the aisle, Carrie and Daniel read personalized vows, gave their loved ones roses, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss while the crowd cheered.

Everyone trickled into the Foyer for cocktail hour. The bar was shaking and serving up the newlywed’s signature drinks, a Paloma and Sex on the Beach, while Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed. While everyone enjoyed refreshments and snacks, the newlyweds snuck away for a few photos together around the venue until it was time for dinner. Guests checked the custom seating chart that read, “you and me under the olive trees,” then headed out to the Olive Grove where reception awaited them.

String lights and candles illuminated the space in a romantic, golden glow as guests found their assigned tables. Taupe, ivory, and light pink flowers formed centerpieces that were accompanied by stoneware plates and cups, gold flatware, and textured napkins. Both the fire pit and fireplace lounge areas were complete with blue, rust, and ivory furnishings and accent pieces so that guests had even more room to sit back and relax. Carrie and Daniel’s sweetheart table with rattan lights hanging above had a perfect view of the patterned dance floor just steps away. As soon as everyone was seated, the wedding party made their grand entrances ending with the bride and groom. The two shared their first dance, then sat for dinner and toasts. Chicken Sonoma, Penne Alla Checca, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Green Beans, and Caesar Salad just in time for the first speech. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Arielle. Glasses of champagne clinked in the air after each family member and friend shared their fondest memories of Daniel and Carrie, then it was time for dessert. The newlyweds cut into their two-tiered wedding cake and invited guests to enjoy a slice. The remainder of the evening was spent out on the dance floor surrounding the bride and groom in celebration.
